How to access the HDMI cable test in Samsung settings

To access the HDMI cable test (called HDMI Troubleshooting) in your Samsung TV settings, follow these steps:

  1. Press the Home button on your remote control

  2. Navigate to Settings → Support

  3. Select Device Care

  4. Select Self Diagnosis

  5. Select HDMI Troubleshooting from the menu

  6. Check the connected HDMI ports in sequential order to test each port

The HDMI Troubleshooting test diagnoses whether the HDMI cable is properly connected to the TV’s HDMI port and will let you know if there are any problems with each port.

Alternative path for some Samsung TV models:

If your TV uses the “All Settings” menu:

  1. From the Home screen, press left on the remote

  2. Navigate to Settings → All Settings

  3. Select Support → Device Care → Self Diagnosis

  4. Choose HDMI Troubleshooting

This test helps identify faulty HDMI cables, loose ports, or compatibility issues that commonly cause “no signal” errors on your Samsung TV.
